Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Lynchburg, Virginia

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our clients team in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing international consolidations and reporting, providing technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and overseeing various financial and administrative tasks.

Job Duties:

• Manage international consolidations and reporting in collaboration with the FP&A Manager and International Finance teams.
• Provide technical accounting advice to the CFO, President, and leadership team.
• Lead accounting resource with Parent Company Dover for accounting rule updates.
• Conduct quarterly calls on compliance and presentations to Executive and Parent Company.
• Ensure all controls and SOX compliance within the group, including international locations.
• Serve as a Board Member of elected statutory boards of the corporation.
• Oversee administrative tasks related to banking relationships and authority matrices.
• Partner with International Finance and general accounting teams to maintain General Ledger integrity.
• Implement standard GL views for consistent results review across locations.
• Co-lead WD 2 calls on financial results with international locations.
• Assist in the preparation, processing, and analysis of monthly financial results.
• Ensure company-wide compliance and coordinate audits, internal or external.
• Manage payroll function submission and control.
• Develop personnel through effective delegation and training.
• Lead the process of downloading lockbox, wires, and ACH from Bank of America.
• Prepare schedules for annual plans and own GL reconciliations.
• Calculate royalty and license fees, maintain records and payment schedules.
• Oversee and reconcile all travel-related items and manage the concur system.
• Document and maintain procedures for areas of supervision.
• Prepare financial analysis as needed and coordinate record retention.
• Assist with special projects and reports as needed by CFO or President.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years' experience in Accounting with a strong background in financial reporting, GAAP, and analytical skills.
• Master's in Accounting or Business is required.
• CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is required.
• Experience in technical accounting standards and audit.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, costing, and excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Fluent with computers, spreadsheet software, and familiar with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Strong background in general accounting, tax, and analysis.
• Experience in Quality Programs, Team Building, and Employee Involvement is preferred.
